Some of our recent and past blood trailing dog recoveries

A blood trailing dog can usually make recoveries easier and faster than when trailing without a dog, thus eliminating much of the anxiety from the tracking/trailing experience. The ultimate accomplishment for a trailing dog, though, is finding animals that otherwise would not have been recovered.

Most of the animals shown on these pages are animals that hunters could not, or would not have been able to find without the dog. Several were recovered after the dog was swept through an area and cut a faint trail despite the hunter having stated a miss. The recoveries include 3 species of Boone + Crockett class animals - deer, bear and caribou.
